Participating in the PTA is a great way for you to take an active role in your children's school. Research shows that children whose parents are involved in their schools perform better academically and socially.
As a PTA member you have input into important decisions: how money is spent, which activities are sponsored and planning for the future. What's more, being in the PTA helps parents learn to navigate the school system and network with other families.
If I join, do I have to attend the meetings?
No, you are not obligated to attend PTA meetings. Although everyone is invited and welcome to attend.
Do I have to be a PTA member to attend and participate in meetings?
You are not required to be a PTA member to attend PTA meetings. Note: You are not allowed to vote if you are not a PTA member.
Do I need to purchase a PTA membership every year?
Yes. A membership is valid for one full school year.

Complete a membership form and return with payment to the Valhalla front office.
